Without a healthy and thriving planet, none of the others will exist.
We believe that as a company, we need to prioritise and make decisions that make a positive impact on our planet.
So for a long time here at Hospitality Mavericks, we have asked ourselves how can we make a consistently positive impact on our planet.
We wanted to join and support a movement that was already well-established and which has already proved it is making the planet a better place every day.
Therefore we are proud and excited that we are a member of 1% for the Planet!
We joined 1% for the Planet because we believe the planet urgently needs our help, and it is time to take responsibility and do everything that we can do to ensure that future generations thrive.
1% for the Planet was started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies. To date, their members have given hundreds of millions of dollars to approved nonprofit partners.
From this financial year onwards, we will donate a minimum of 1% of our revenue to a number of impact projects across the globe.
In 2022 we gave donations to the Planet Impact Fund as well as Rewilding Britain.
We hope that our little and humble contribution will be part of saving our planet.
